About

Our mission at MKB is fashioning from forgotten textile treasures.

“My creations are much more than just clothes and accessories, they reflect my cultural heritage, rooted in the richness of the Diola culture, in the heart of southern Senegal. Each piece is a woven story, a vibrant tribute to the traditions and creativity that flow through my veins.

My fabrics, meticulously chosen from remains, find new life under my skillful hands. Today I am giving a second chance to these materials that clutter our beautiful streets, to transform them into portable works of art. My creative process is imbued with the spirit of rebirth, nature, sustainability and deep/profound love for my ancestral culture and modernism.

Every seam, every pattern, every detail of my creations tells a deep story. My work is a bridge between the past and the present, between tradition and innovation. I am proud to create unique pieces that not only adorn those who wear them, but also celebrate the vibrant soul of Diola culture.

Much more than a fashion designer, I am a guardian of heritage, a storyteller through thread and needle. My creations are an invitation to discover the magic and splendor of my culture, through the prism of fashion.

My dream is to be the one who weaves dreams, transforming textiles of different origins into visual poetry, and celebrate the very essence of Africa and the rest of the world in every creation."
